For a bedroom, two numbers on the listing matter most: the room coverage the maker states, and the noise in sleep mode. Both are listing figures, and the listings do not always name the fan speed or the conditions behind them. This guide reports each figure as written and does not add a test result.
The quick answer: the Blueair Blue 511i Max states the lowest noise figure in this set, as quietly as 19 dB. The Levoit Eleva 300X, the MOOKA KJ190H and the Fulminare H13 each state about 20 dB. A 144 sq ft bedroom fits the 222 sq ft coverage listed for the Levoit Core300-P and the Levoit Vital 100S-P, but not the 140 sq ft of the Levoit Core 200S-P. Check the room size before you choose.
How we chose and what the listings leave out
We read eight Amazon listings on 2026-10-17 and did not test any of them. The criteria are stated noise, sleep-mode or display-off features, stated room coverage, and size. Where a listing gives no decibel value, we say so and do not rank that model on noise.
- Decibel figures are stated for six of the eight models. The Honeywell HPA6000W describes a low-noise design without a number, and the listing does not state a decibel figure for it.
- Some listings name the fan speed for their noise figure and some do not. The Blueair listing says “as quietly as 19 dB” without a fan setting.
- Coverage is stated in square feet by most listings. The MOOKA KJ190H gives 2,200 sq ft in the title only.

Worked example: a 12 by 12 foot bedroom
For example, take a 12 ft by 12 ft bedroom. Multiply length and width to get 144 sq ft. The EPA guide says to compare that figure with the maximum room size on the packaging or listing. The Levoit Core 200S-P lists 140 sq ft, which is below 144 sq ft, so it is the wrong size for this room. The Levoit Core300-P and the Levoit Vital 100S-P each list 222 sq ft, which is above it. The Eleva 300X lists up to 1,200 sq ft in its title, which is well above it.
Conflicting figures on the listings
The Blueair listing gives “237 csq ft” in about 12.5 minutes, which we quote as written. The Honeywell HPA6000W gives 398 sq ft in its bullet and 1,928 sq ft in its title. The MOOKA KJ190H gives 2,200 sq ft in its title and no coverage figure in its bullets. We show each figure and do not pick one.

Mistakes to avoid
- Trusting the noise figure without the fan setting. Some listings name a setting and some do not.
- Buying for a room much larger than the stated coverage. The EPA says to choose a unit sized for a larger area if the ceiling is above 8 feet.
- Assuming a light-off feature. Some listings describe a display-off button and others describe a night light.
Who should skip buying
Skip this list if your bedroom is much larger than the coverage stated for every model, or if you need a single figure you can trust for noise at a set fan speed. A listing figure is the maker’s figure, and this guide does not measure noise.
What the EPA guide says
The US EPA guide on air cleaners was opened on 2026-10-17 and shows “Last updated on October 1, 2026”. It gives the sizing method used in the worked example: multiply length and width in feet, then compare the result with the maximum room size on the packaging. It also assumes an 8-foot ceiling for its chart. Source: US EPA, Guide to Air Cleaners in the Home.
Frequently asked questions
Which model is the quietest on its listing?
The Blueair Blue 511i Max lists as quietly as 19 dB. The Levoit Eleva 300X, the MOOKA KJ190H and the Fulminare H13 each list about 20 dB in a sleep or low-speed setting. The listings do not all name the same setting.
How do I check whether a room is too big for a model?
Multiply the room length by the width to get square feet, and compare that with the coverage on the listing. The EPA guide says to compare with the packaging maximum. In the worked example, a 144 sq ft room is too large for the 140 sq ft Levoit Core 200S-P.
Does the Honeywell HPA6000W state a noise level?
No. Its listing describes a low-noise design and does not give a decibel value, so this guide does not rank it on noise.
Do any of these models have a light-off sleep mode?
Several listings describe a display-off option or lights turned off in sleep mode, including the Levoit Core300-P, the Levoit Eleva 300X and the MOOKA KJ190H. Check each listing before you buy.
Should I check the price?
Yes. This page does not show prices. Check the current price on Amazon before you buy.
