The Levoit LV-H132 is a compact three-stage air purifier that is still sold on Amazon. The key fact is its size of coverage: Levoit’s own product page lists a CADR of 35 CFM and says it covers 54 sq ft at 4.8 air changes per hour. The Amazon listing gives no CADR and no room size at all. This review reports both sources and shows where they disagree.

The quick answer: the LV-H132 suits a very small space such as a small bathroom, a closet-sized office or a desk. It is not sized for a typical 120 sq ft bedroom, and if you need more coverage the larger Levoit models below list far higher figures. Check the current price on Amazon.

What the Amazon listing states

We read the Amazon listing and Levoit’s product page on 2026-10-17. We did not test the purifier. Every figure below is quoted from one of those two pages.

Where the two sources disagree

  • Noise: the listing says as low as 28 dB, and Levoit’s page says as low as 25 dB on the lowest speed. We cannot tell which is current. Treat the quiet end as roughly 25 to 28 dB.
  • Size: the listing’s details table gives 8.5 x 8.5 x 14.5 in, and Levoit’s page gives 7.9 x 7.9 x 12.6 in. If shelf space is tight, measure against the larger figure.
  • The word HEPA: Levoit’s page describes the 99.97% claim at 0.3 microns but does not call the main filter HEPA in its text. The Amazon listing does not use a percentage at all.

Worked example: a 12 ft by 10 ft bedroom

The EPA guide to air cleaners gives a minimum CADR of 65 cfm for a 100 sq ft room and 130 cfm for 200 sq ft, assuming an 8-foot ceiling. That is a ratio of 0.65 cfm per sq ft. A 12 ft by 10 ft room is 120 sq ft, and 120 x 0.65 comes to about 78 cfm. That figure is our arithmetic from the EPA chart, not a number the EPA prints.

The LV-H132 lists 35 CFM on Levoit’s page, which is under 78. Working the other way, 35 divided by 0.65 is about 54 sq ft, and that matches the 54 sq ft at 4.8 air changes per hour on Levoit’s page. So by the EPA chart the LV-H132 fits a room of roughly 54 sq ft, for example a 7 ft by 7 ft space. It would not meet the chart for a 120 sq ft bedroom. The CADR figure comes from Levoit’s page and not from the Amazon listing, so we cannot say whether it is the AHAM-verified figure the listing’s title refers to.

Who the Levoit LV-H132 is for

  • A small bathroom, a closet-sized office, a nursery corner or a desk where only a small volume of air needs cleaning.
  • Someone who wants an activated carbon stage: the listing says it targets smoke, household odors and VOCs, and Levoit’s page lists a carbon filter among its three stages.
  • Someone who wants a plain device. The listing mentions three fan speeds and two optional night light settings, and no app or Wi-Fi.

Who should skip it

  • Anyone with a bedroom or living room above about 54 sq ft who wants to follow the EPA chart. The CADR on Levoit’s page is below the chart minimum for a 100 sq ft room.
  • Anyone who needs a stated CADR on the Amazon page itself. The listing does not give one.
  • Anyone with a medical need, such as asthma. A doctor decides what is right for medical needs, and this page does not claim that any purifier treats a condition.

What the listing claims that cannot be checked here

  • The listing’s title and bullet mention AHAM VERIFIDE. The bullet explains the seal in general terms and gives no CADR or room size for this model, so we cannot tie the seal to a figure.
  • “ETL listed, FCC, and CARB certified” is the listing’s own text. We did not open a certificate.
  • The filter claims for smoke, odors and VOCs are the listing’s wording. The EPA guide says the CADR rating system is for particles only, so a CADR of 35 CFM does not measure gases or odors.

Alternatives with larger stated coverage

Levoit Core 200S-P (B08FJ678YK): a small room with app control

  • Listing specs, checked 2026-10-17: refreshes the air in a 140 sq ft room 4.8 times per hour; as low as 27 dB; nylon pre-filter, activated carbon filter, and a main filter that removes 99.97% of dust, pollen and dander at 0.1 to 0.3 microns; 8.07 x 8.07 x 4.96 in; 6.6 lb. The listing does not state a CADR in its bullets. The details table names the model Core 200S, while the bullets say Core 200S-P.

Levoit Core300-P (B07VVK39F7): the one with a stated CADR on its listing

  • Listing specs, checked 2026-10-17: CADR 143 CFM smoke, 153 CFM dust, 167 CFM pollen; 222 sq ft at 4.8 air changes per hour and 1,073 sq ft once per hour; 24 dB in Sleep Mode; 56W motor.
  • Using the EPA ratio above, 143 cfm covers a 200 sq ft room (130 cfm minimum) and clears the 120 sq ft bedroom in the worked example.

The Amazon listing does not say. Levoit’s product page lists 54 sq ft at 4.8 air changes per hour and 259 sq ft at 1 air change per hour. The EPA chart’s ratio of 0.65 cfm per sq ft puts the 35 CFM CADR at about 54 sq ft.

Does the LV-H132 have a HEPA filter?

The Amazon listing describes a high-efficiency filter without a percentage. Levoit’s page says it captures at least 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 microns in diameter, and its text does not name the main filter as HEPA.

How loud is it?

The listing says as low as 28 dB and Levoit’s page says as low as 25 dB on the lowest speed. Levoit’s page says up to 50 dB overall.
