Quick answer: choose the Levoit LV-H132 if your space is very small and you want a noise figure and a stated warranty. Its manufacturer’s page gives a CADR of 35 cfm and a 2-year limited warranty. Choose the Winix 5510 if you need a unit for a larger room, with a CADR printed on the listing and an app. Its listing gives no noise figure and no warranty.
Levoit and Winix each sell many models, so this page compares one from each: the Levoit LV-H132 (ASIN B071D58ZY5) and the Winix 5510 (ASIN B0DJG1731C). We read both Amazon listings on 17 October 2026, the Levoit manufacturer page the same day, and two public guidance pages. Where the sources disagree, both figures are shown. We did not test either unit.

Where the sources disagree
- Winix room size: the title says “Up to 1881 Ft2 in 1 Hr”; the comparison table says 1,882. We show both.
- Winix dimensions: the two tables on the listing give different sizes and the second has no unit. We did not choose one. Measure before you plan shelf or floor space.
- Levoit noise: the listing says as low as 28 dB; the manufacturer page says as low as 25 dB on the lowest speed.
- Levoit dimensions: the listing says 8.5 x 8.5 x 14.5 in; the manufacturer page says 7.9 x 7.9 x 12.6 in.
- Levoit HEPA: the listing says high-efficiency filter; the manufacturer page gives the 99.97% at 0.3 micron claim but does not call the main filter HEPA.
Worked example: a 12 ft by 14 ft room
Take a room 12 ft wide and 14 ft long. Its floor is 12 x 14 = 168 sq ft. The King County rule of thumb is a CADR of 65 for every 100 sq ft, so 168 / 100 x 65 is about 109 cfm. The EPA chart uses the same ratio.
The Levoit LV-H132’s stated CADR is 35 cfm. Using the same ratio, 35 cfm covers about 54 sq ft, which matches the 54 sq ft at 4.8 air changes per hour on Levoit’s page. For this 168 sq ft room the LV-H132 falls short of the rule.
The Winix 5510’s comparison table gives 252 for dust. The listing prints no unit; we read it as cfm, as the other CADR figures are read. Against the same rule, 252 cfm clears 109 cfm. Using the ratio the other way, 252 cfm covers about 388 sq ft. That does not match the listing’s 1,882 sq ft in 1 hour. The listing does not say what conditions produce its room figure. We show both and do not pick one. All ratio figures here are our arithmetic.
Decision by use case
- A very small space, such as a desk, a closet office or a small bathroom, about 54 sq ft. The LV-H132 matches its own stated figure. The Winix is far larger than the space needs.
- A bedroom of about 120 sq ft. The King County rule asks for about 78 cfm. The LV-H132’s 35 cfm falls short. The Winix’s printed CADR clears it.
- A quiet room for sleep. The LV-H132 gives noise figures, 28 dB on the listing and 25 dB on the manufacturer’s page for the lowest speed. The Winix listing gives no decibel figure, so the two cannot be compared on noise.
- App control. The Winix listing names the Winix Smart App and WiFi, Alexa and Google Home. The LV-H132 listing names no app or Wi-Fi.
- A stated warranty. The LV-H132 manufacturer page states a 2-year limited warranty. The Winix listing states none.
- Use outside the US. The LV-H132 listing says 120 volts and may need a converter. The Winix listing does not state its voltage.
